Another season of stone conservation

The annual stonework conservation program at St Andrew’s College has commenced . Always undertaken during the summer break, the long term maintenance schedule for works to the stone and roof  of the college’s older buildings was developed by Hector in 2003 and has continued to be overseen by Brianna Jessup over the past five years. As always, HAA is once again working with the Traditional Restoration Company. St Andrew’s College is to be applauded for their commitment to their program of ongoing maintenance. It makes good sense economically to have a plan for maintaining buildings, and it makes sense in sustainability terms as well. A cared-for building will last, and be able to be used, for many years to come.
