Hector Abrahams Architects recently collaborated with James Ginter and Nicola Ashurst of Traditional Restoration Company and spent a lovely Saturday morning in the grounds of the Camperdown Cemetery. HAA had been asked by the National Trust, as part of the 2013 Heritage Festival, to give a demonstration of lime washing techniques, which are very useful for the preservation of stonework. A number of keen stone enthusiasts attended to learn more about the preservation process and the history of the Waller Tomb, which was built for a family of victims of the 1857 Dunbar ship disaster.
The event was a success and we hope to take on more of these projects in the future!
