HAA was thrilled to receive a Commendation in the Heritage category of the 2019 Australian Institute of Architects, NSW Chapter awards for the St John’s Library.
The vision behind the work was to create a modern and vibrant student study centre within the original library space in the college’s main building, designed by William Wardell in 1858. The new centre has become a hub for the college residents and is open 24 hours a day during term time.
Thanks to the college for allowing us to enter the work, and to Gartner Rose who built it.
