Project Management

At HAA, we take pride in delivering project management services tailored to heritage significant sites. Recognising the unique challenges these projects present, we have established a project management team led by our qualified project manager, Yuan Lu Nee, to support our clients throughout the project lifecycle— from initial planning, concept development, consent approvals, to tendering, negotiations, contract administration and final handover to the client.

Our approach focuses on strong stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective communication with government and heritage authorities, institutional or community organisations, and the public, to maintain transparency and facilitate necessary approvals. Collaboration is at the heart of our team’s success and we pride ourselves on listening closely to our clients’ needs. HAA has a track record in managing stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and coordinating large teams of consultants.

St John’s College slate roof replacement

With one great building having many slopes of roofs needing renewal in slate, St John’s College asked for an unusual project delivery method to limit the impact of the work on the student residents. The procurement designed by HAA, saw the staging of the works across four years during the summer break periods under a single select tender contract.

St Mary’s toilet and roof

A large church in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, St Mary’s Waverley asked HAA to project manage two very different projects. First priority was given to making a new accessible toilet at the centre of the site for its growing congregational uses. Concurrently, flooding caused by a section of old timber roof shingles initiated the development of a roof replacement program

Wyelba

HAA acted as Project Manager for the conversion of a three storey Victorian terrace in inner Sydney to provide both residential and office uses within the existing envelope. Dating from the late 1800’s, the building is locally heritage listed and very intact, including elaborate and refined ceiling plasterwork and joinery.
