At risk of being lost, critical repairs to this architecturally significant façade of the headquarters of Australia’s first union required technical knowledge and skills, as well as a great deal of patience and careful planning.
Work with Strata Schemes
As registered designers under the Building and Design Practitioners Act 2020, HAA is frequently sought out for advice and registered designs for Class 2 buildings owned by Strata Plans. This largely involves the building envelope, but also extends to advice about Heritage Floor Space Creation scheme within the Sydney CBD which HAA project manages for strata owned heritage items.
Inner West Council Town Halls
The Inner West Council’s commitment to its collection of Town Halls as useable, accessible spaces for the community extends to keeping them looking their best as well. Not always obvious to the passer-by, the programs of repair and upgrade works overseen by HAA for the Marrickville and St Peters Town Halls make a major contribution to the accessibility and preservation of these local landmarks.

A bold shopfront and façade renewal seeded from the client’s vision and brought to fruition by HAA’s combined strong heritage and design capabilities. A striking result facilitated by a unique heritage incentive scheme.

Trust and a strong working relationship with the client over a number of years continues to yield a variety of well-received student-centred projects, improving the daily experience and requirements for a cohesive university college community.
Stephenson’s Mill
Wanting to achieve her dream of living in a piece of local history, our client came to HAA to solve a seemingly unsolvable problem. The entire project demanded high trust; trust by the client and trust by the local council.
